6. You are mine Roshni

Chapter 6: You are mine Roshni

Rudra spent the day immersed in the pulse of his business, making calls, attending meetings, everything around him a blur of sharp decisions and unrelenting ambition.

But as the clock neared 4:30 PM, the rest of the world faded into the background, and his mind fixated on one thing—her.

His phone buzzed.

A report from his man, the one he had stationed near her for her safety.

The message was simple:

“Ma’am has started from college, going towards the beach.”

A smirk tugged at the corner of Rudra's lips.

He didn’t need to think twice. He was already moving, gathering his things, and heading out of his office.

He reshuffled his Friday evening meetings as he always did since last few months, a routine he had grown accustomed to…for her! For him.

The city traffic felt like an inconvenience, but it didn’t matter.

Today, nothing could stop him.

Not anymore.

By the time he reached the beach, the sun was beginning its descent, casting long shadows across the shore.

He already got a message that she reached here just five minutes before.

He parked his car, the engine cutting off with a low hum as he stepped out.

Rudra wore a fitted black shirt, slightly unbuttoned at the top, showcasing his strong build.

The navy blue tailored trousers enhance his tall, commanding presence, while the brown leather belt and matching formal shoes add a touch of classic style and balance to the dark tones.

A luxury watch peeks from under his cuff, subtly emphasizing his attention to detail and elite taste.

As always he is carrying an aura which is —bold, controlled, and intensely charismatic.

Rudra’s eyes scanned the horizon, and then he saw her—sitting alone by the water’s edge.

She was dressed in a white-coloured top and faded blue jeans, looking just like her name soft, hopeful, light, Roshni, blending well in the world around her.

Small pearl studs adorned her ears, and her hair, loose and wild in the wind, seemed to float around her face like she belonged in a dream.

A tan satchel and a file of her drawings kept beside her…

Off course he knew …everything, every small part of her world now…

He took in the sight of her from a distance,

but as he got closer,

something didn’t sit right.

Her usual peaceful demeanour was gone.

She wasn’t at ease today.

Her brows were furrowed, her body slightly hunched as if the weight of something heavy pressed against her.

She looked...

lost.

And Rudra didn’t like it.

His stood just a feet away from where she is sitting

she seemed to sense a presence nearby,

her body tensing just before she lifted her head, her eyes meeting his.

For a brief moment, there was a quiet between them……

He sat just a feet away from her…

"Hey," he said,

his voice…. low, but it carried across the space between them.

He didn’t ask how she was, because he could see it in her eyes.

“Hi…”, she replied, just a whisper.

"What’s going on, Roshni?”, he asked.

She hesitated, shifting uncomfortably in the sand.

Her gaze flickered to the horizon before returning to him.

"Nothing", she replied.

"Roshni," he said, softer this time, but still demanding,

"What’s going on? Why are you avoiding me?"

She looked at him then,

really looked at him.

There was a flicker of something—fear, confusion, but also something else.

It was like she was fighting with herself, a battle inside her that she didn’t want to share.

"Why are you here?", Her voice trembled ever so slightly.

"What do you want from me?", she added.

"I want everything, Roshni", he said, his words sharp and final.

"I want all of you. And I won’t stop until I get it.", he added.

"Are you sure you know what you want?", she asked,

her voice trembling slightly as the waves of doubt rose in her chest.

"Because I’m not sure …

I’m not sure if what you want is pure,

Or

if it’s just... a passing thing,

or

“if it’s just a fleeting distraction”

“Something you’re after to kill time. “

“You are mysterious, I don’t know you, not even your name”

“I can’t even understand how to say it right now"

“How silly of me asking these things when you are a complete stranger….”

He cut her off…

"You really think that’s what this is?

 A passing thing?

Something I’m just playing with to kill time?", his eyes darkened, a dangerous edge to his words.

He moved closer, closing the space between them, his shadow now falling over her.

His gaze bore into hers, deep and unrelenting.

“You think I’m here because of a moment,

 because I’m bored,

or just looking for something temporary?"

He scoffed, a small, bitter laugh escaping his lips.

She looked at her hands resting on her lap…

“Meri taraf dekho…..”

(look at me …)…

his tone softened looking at her vulnerable eyes…

"No, Roshni," he said, his voice low, like a whispered promise.

"I’m not here for something fleeting.

I’m not here to waste time.

You think you’re just another girl in my life?

Another passing face?", he leaned forward, his breath just inches from her ear.

"You have no idea what you’re to me. And you think I’m just passing through?

You think I’m that kind of man?", His hands gripped the sand beneath him, his knuckles white.

"I don’t do things halfway, Roshni.

I don’t chase things I don’t want.

 And you?

You’re mine.

That’s not temporary.

That’s not passing."

Her heart pounded in her chest, the words hitting her like a thunderclap.

His intensity, the weight of his presence, it was all-consuming.

But as much as she wanted to believe him, doubt crept in.

She shook her head slightly, trying to clear the cloud of confusion.

"I... I don’t even know you.

I don’t even know your name.

What do I know about you? Who are you?", she whispered, the words almost escaping her lips before she realized how vulnerable they made her sound.

“I just know that we belong to different worlds

and

I am not brave enough to step into your world”

She pulled her knees up to her chest, instinctively trying to shield herself, but he could see it in her eyes—the fear, the hesitation.

Rudra’s gaze softened, though his voice still carried that same dominance, that unspoken power.

He reached out, gently lifting her chin, forcing her to meet his eyes.

"You want to know who I am?", He smiled slightly, and she was in daze looking at this handsome man in front of her, so close yet so far.

"I am not good with words, Roshni.

I talk very little, express even less.

But what I feel for you… it’s not something I need to say.

You’ll feel it in everything I do.

In every moment, in every action, you’ll know I’m here.

I don’t need to prove it with words

But for you ...

only for you jaan…

I will try to say It today…

So listen very carefully…

and engrave it in this beautiful brain of yours

“Roshni Gupta... you belong to me”

“You’ve always belonged to me."

"This is not just about you now; it’s about us.”

“About me claiming what’s mine.”

“You don’t get to run from this anymore.”

“and now... now you’ll see that I don’t stop until I get you completely,

every part of you,

 even if you fight it”

“even if you don’t understand it yet."

His gaze locked onto hers, raw and intense.

"I’m not interested in controlling you, Roshni. I’m interested in owning you, in making you feel things you never thought you could. And when I’m done, you’ll never want to leave."

“I don’t care about this hypocrite society nor those Damm social rules,

for me you are my world. So how we are from different world.? Han?”

"I’ve never wanted anyone more than I want you."

“And as for my name?” He paused, watching her closely.

“My name... it's Rudra.”

He softened his tone, leaning in just a little.

“But to know more about me, you need to meet, talk to me, spend time with me, right?”, he asked, his voice gentle, almost coaxing, as if explaining something to a child.

“You will trust me, right?”

Roshni nodded slowly, her mind clouded, caught in the pull of his presence.

She felt like she was drifting, lost in a trance.

But then suddenly something snapped inside her

“And if I don’t want this? If I don’t want to be ‘yours’?”

She felt the vulnerability in her voice, but she couldn't stop herself.

She needed to know if there was any room for her to be herself in this... or if she was just another conquest to him.

Rudra’s jaw tightened.
